At Mahogany Getaway Herbal Healing, you will experience our home-grown, magical vitamins and mineral extracted from organic herbs. Your herbal healing bush tea will give your body what it needs to come out winning during your 28-night body enrichment stay.
The Island of St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands is my birthplace. Growing up on the Island, our traditional teas were our healing doctor. The secret of the teas was passed on from the mother land Africa through ancestors that was captured utilized as slaves and distributed as human trafficking throughout the Caribbean Islands. Among those Islands was the U.S. Virgin Islands, and tribal members kidnapped and trafficked as slaves called the Ashanti would be my ancestors' tribe. As hidden American history would reveal they were lynched, raped, burned while alive, and so forth and the most unimaginable treatment took place historically for hundreds of years.
I learned 3 very important lessons when I was being directed growing up as a little girl, and it is that no one in their human form is better than another human, and that the good we do to others will come back to us, and the bad we do to others will come back to us, and last is that we should treat people the way we want to be treated.
Furthermore, it is the occurrence that fostered the need to pass on from generation to generation what my wounded ancestors used to heal their body and free their mind. What fascinated me is the secret of the healing herb that kept us "doctor" free while growing up. It is a feeling you can't explain when your body and mind is free from radicals, and you feel good all over.
Our mission is to provide an unforgettable herbal bush tea healing experience in St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands. We aim to connect our guests and local Islanders with nature through our special herbal healing practices, cozy tropical setting, warm therapeutic ocean soaks, and unique friendly culture. We warmly welcome visitors along with local Islanders who need a healing place to call home with month-to-month budget-friendly stays.

Hilda is a great host with lots of knowledge and experience re: St Croix history, culture, and customs. She’s there for support and also low key so she’ll leave you to your privacy. Some of the best bush tea to heal up body and mind ( the real deal ) , the bed was super comfy , clean room with incidentals and thoughtful touches in case you forgot something. As a solo traveler I felt very safe and there’s a shopping strip , movie theatre, and an awesome Roti shop and other local spots to eat Caribbean food in walking distance . The bus stop is minutes a way and she has info for taxis too. You’ll feel a part of the community as the people of St Croix are some of the nicest and most respectful I’ve encountered! You can’t beat the price and Hilda’s Mahogany getaway is one to book if you’re budget traveling like me, and want a local experience away from tourists. Thank you Hilda! See you again when I return to Christiansted.❤️

Hilda was amazing, she was very helpful with tips of where to go and things like that. She was fun to sit around and talk with giving history of the island, all the health benefits of the ocean and the plants that grow there. Hildas Bush tea was really good too. I had such an amazing stay! Thanks so much for everything Hilda I hope to make it back again. I feel like I made an awesome friend while staying there.
Hilda's place was exactly what I needed. Peaceful, restful and restorative. She is informative on St. Croix history and its natural resources. I hope to vist her getaway again.

Dear Hilda, the stay with you has been very valuable I have enjoyed it a lot. Since I travelled alone you have been great company to do walks and shopping as well as mango 🥭 plucking from the tree. I have enjoyed the bush tea immensely and was really amazed by all your knowledge about the tea. Thanks for also helping me to find veggies to stick to a healthy diet when I stayed with you. I felt at home 🏠 in your house and slept very well due to this comfort. I think so far you have been the best host I have met, and I hope next time I may take your portrait! I recommend your house to everyone who reads this!

Your personalized care includes bodywash, shampoo, shower cap, hand and body lotion, razor, toothpaste, toothbrush, liners to wear on the floor for your feet to keep the floor clean plus you are welcome to bring along your personal "bedroom" slippers for the purpose.
